On entering the classroom for the first time this week we were shocked to see a mysterious egg sitting on the side. We wondered what could have laid such a large egg. Is was then that we spotted the giant dinosaur sitting in the corner. We have spent this first week back learning all sorts of new things about dinosaurs. To help us with this task we have been looking at information books, listening to facts and exploring websites on the laptops. We have all chosen our favourite dinosaur and next week will be writing facts about them.We played a team game in PE that involved us trying to steal as many eggs as we could out of the dinosaur nest. It was great funAt the end of the week we used the BBC dinosaur world game in class by finding all of the interesting features of the 3D world that we travelled through. To download this game at home please click here.We have also used this website to learn important facts about dinosaurs. Please take a look and choose your favourite. There are also some great dinosaur based games here.We have also been trying to estimate numbers of objects this week and count up to 30. There is a spooky number game here.We chose their writer of the week for the first time on Friday. We set the criteria for the winner to meet and then voted for the winner from those that had done as we expected. Mr Lewis then wrote the certificate and presented it to the very first winner.
