This week we have learnt all about the different two dimensional shapes there are. Most of us already know about circles (do you know they have NO angles?) , squares and triangles but we also learnt what a quadrilateral is (any 4 sided shape) and we looked at pentagons, hexagons, heptagons and octagons. We really enjoyed a film where all the shapes did different dances and we found different shapes in a picture. We explored shape all week in different ways through our play. Here are some of the ways:At the start of the week, we told our story to Y1- Not Now Bernard! by David Mc Kee.Toby Bonsor got this week’s certificate for being a lovely, kind friend, as voted by the class when we were having circle time on how to be a good friend. Everyone wants to be his friend because he is always fun to play with, shares nicely and is gentle and kind.Enjoy the weekend! The Rowan team.
