This morning we all had fun at the Harvest Festival. Elliot, Jack and Gracie enjoyed doing their reading. Gracie, Ella-Mae, William and Ellie, who are members of Music Club, sang their hearts out and played the instruments with confidence. The whole of Year 3 loved singing the song ‘Paintbox!’In Numeracy we’ve been learning about dividing and multiplying by 10 and 100.In Literacy we’ve been researching about different birds; Tawny Owls and Robins. We have then thought about writing our research facts into subheadings. Today we thought about our own interests and then went to the library to find a non-fiction text about our topic. In Science we investigated the food preference of snails. It seemed as though the snails preferred lettuce to carrot, apple and orange. However, we are not 100 % sure if snails prefer lettuce because we haven’t tried any other foods. For the last 4 weeks of this term, we shall be going into the cooking room in house teams with Mrs Evans. This week Holst went along and made rhubarb crumble. We have all brought home a letter about sandwich making next Wednesday. We are very much looking forward to making our lunch and taking it to the hall to eat at lunchtime. We hope that we have designed a healthy sandwich that tastes delicious!***Certificate of Achievement *** – “ I felt really scared when I went up in front of all the people but I was extremely proud of myself.” – Harry C.
