The first two weeks of this term have been action packed! Our topic work has involved locating the countries of North America on a map. During our Art sessions we have begun our own designs in the style of Andy Warhol. We all enjoyed singing The Sharing Song by Jack Johnson and this afternoon we listened to the lyrics of a Louis Armstrong song and designed a picture book for ‘What a Wonderful World.’Last week all the juniors took part in the ‘Stranger Danger’ session with PCSO Jayne Fellowes and had the opportunity to sit in the Police car! We were even allowed to use the siren. We had a very exciting day for World Book Day. It was great to see not only our class but the whole school, dress up as a book character. Many of us took part in the book swap too. We are looking forward to our visit to Cashes Green Primary school on Monday and hope to complete our stories set in New York.Pictures and quotes from World Book Day.Ashlee: I got a Beast Quest book ‘cos I really enjoy them from the library.Ellie: Mine is a vampire book because I like scary stories.Mia: My book is a diary book with all this girl’s secrets in it.Flick: I chose “Famous Five get into trouble.” It looks exciting.Theo: Billy said I might like it, so I got “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” And Lewis thinks it’s really funny.Lewis: I chose a Tom Gates book.
