It all started on Monday with football with Mr Szkrybieniec, where the children concentrated on skills, thinking, team work and most of all fun. There wasn’t time to hang around; after a quick lunch we joined up with year 6 to go to ‘Jumptastic’ in Gloucester. What an amazing afternoon where the children were able to jump together. Again it was great to see all the encouragement to try new things; everyone was having a go.Tuesday had no rest time as we went to South Cerney for a day on the water. The children experienced sailing, canoeing, kayaking and wind surfing. Despite a difficult breeze the children were all prepared to have a go and it was great to see the smiles and laughs the children had with each other. It hasn’t all been sports; we have also had time to write about how to be a sports person; to compose a newspaper report about our favourite sporting story and finally we have carried on our Egyptian topic by turning some children into Mummies! This week we will be looking forward to the end of term when we will attempt to build our milk bottle pyramid! As always if you or your children have any concerns do please do not hesitate to come in and see me.
