At the start of the week, we said goodbye to our Kenyan visitor, Wallace. After spending a week with him, we were sad to see him go but are now getting very excited about Miss Szarko and Mrs Bateman’s trip to his school. We have learned a lot about the similarities and differences between his culture and our own and we look forward to learning more as we stay in touch. We have done lots of Science this week learning all about our eyes and how they work. We had so many questions about the different parts of the eyes and what they do. We were testing Miss Szarko’s knowledge!Miss Szarko has also challenged us this week with our new writing topic. We have been creating a newspaper report map about the invasion of Poland at the start of World War Two. There have been some very tricky words to create symbols for but we know have lots of facts and information that we know by heart.
