We see The Den as a home from home in all ways.
As the children come to The Den from school, they will be offered a snack. They are very welcome to bring in additional healthy snacks (in line with the school’s break time snack policy) if they wish.
Breakfast or a snack is included in the price. Please discuss with your child in advance whether you want them to have breakfast /a snack during each session.
The Den has places at breakfast time, which starts at 7.45am. Cereal, toast, yogurt and a drink is provided.
The after school provision comes as two different options. One session is until 4.30pm and includes a snack, (e.g. crumpets, cheese & biscuits, carrot/celery sticks) which is served at 3.15pm. The late session includes the same food but runs until 6.00pm.
We encourage children to complete their homework whilst they are in The Den after school and support them with any help they need. If you do not want your child to do homework whilst in The Den, please let us know.
Sometimes we would like to play DVD’s for the children to relax and watch after school. We will only show PG rated films. Please advise us if you are not happy for your child to watch these.
We do hope your child will enjoy their time in The Den.
